PAINTING TIPS:
- If painting clothing, try to trace the clothing
on the body with an eyeliner pencil, then take clothing off and paint
within the eyeliner pencil lines. The eyeliner pencil lines will then
act as a shadow and make your painted clothing look more realistic.
- Use thin layers of paint, if you bodypaint too
thick, the paint will crack.
- Start with the light colors that you want to
use and move to the dark colors.
- After the paint is dry (about 5-10 min.) you
can paint over the top of your first layer, add a pattern, details,
or whatever you like.
- Try our glitter paint to add a shimmer effect
over the top of your bodypaint. Just wait till the bodypaint dries and
apply the glitter paint directly over the top. Also, you can rub on
the glitter paint directly to your skin to make yourself sparkle and
shine!
- For dramatic bodypainting, use colors that are
light and dark next to eachother, this will give you a lot of contrast
and really make the bodypaint stand out.
- To create drop shadows, use an eyeliner pencil
to lightly shade in the shadow area, then lightly rub the eyeliner pencil
with a q-tip to soften the lines and make the shadow look realistic.
- If you want to bodypaint something mor expressionistic,
work fast and work your paint wet on wet so that the colors mix and
combine. This can give you nice original effects.
